10/27 - Trending Startups

Carnot Compression, ReStalk, ScholarTribe

Happy Wednesday!

This week I’m excited to share with you many exciting startups! But first…

New opportunities for startups —

  • Earth Tech 2022: Startups in Canada can apply by Nov 7th to be part of a 6-month accelerator and gain access to mentors and advisors, training, funders and investors, and peer support.

  • EV Open Innovation Challenge: Apply by Nov 8th to work with Hyundai Motor Group, Kia, Hyundai Glovis (shipping and heavy transport) and Hyundai Cradle (innovation and investment arm).

One report I’m downloading for safe-keeping —

  • The 2021 Cleantech Innovation Hubs Survey, from Saoradh Enterprise Partners (SEP), is the first ranking of cleantech innovation hubs in the US. The report ranks the 40 strongest cleantech ecosystems in the nation and characterizes their strengths and weaknesses.

One event I’m excited about —

  • The ImpactX Climate Summit is taking place virtually on Nov 2-3, to bring capital, policy and startup innovation together. Speakers include: Atlassian's Mike Cannon-Brookes, Sir Richard Branson, Fortescue's Andrew Forrest and Andrew Steer of the Bezos Earth Fund.

Support Innovate Climate

If you enjoy or get value from Innovate Climate, please consider supporting my efforts via Patreon. I spend more time researching, outreaching to, and talking to startups (and investors) than working my full time job. My mission is to help startups create climate impact by helping them connect with the right resources. This passion project has started to take over my life more and more (in a good way), and I’d like to continue doing this, perhaps even full-time.
